About Me

Scott, a proud native of Colorado, boasts a rich family heritage dating back to the 1890s, when his ancestors pioneered ranches in Southern Colorado, rearing the first registered Hereford cattle. His deep-rooted connection to the region is further exemplified by his graduation from Central High in Pueblo, Colorado, in 1975. With a resolute commitment to serving his country, Scott dedicated four years of his life to the United States Department of Defense within the Department of the Army, spanning from 1975 to 1979.

Following his honorable discharge from military service, Scott pursued higher education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. There, he diligently worked his way to a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Finance, along with a minor in Economics, culminating in 1984. Scott's journey thereafter led him through a series of roles within the realm of information technology, evolving from a programmer to account management, and ascending to the position of Vice President. His professional journey eventually brought him to his current esteemed position as the CEO of a Colorado-based software company. Scott's extensive career in the field of information technology, complemented by his adept grasp of business financials, positions him as a standout candidate for a role on the city council.

Outside of his professional achievements, Scott is the devoted husband of his wife of 43 years, a caring father to two adult children, and a proud grandfather to two grandchildren. With a circle of loved ones encompassing his mother, sister, brothers, nieces, nephews, friends, and relations, Scott's life is richly interwoven with meaningful connections. His passions span an array of exhilarating outdoor activities, from mountaineering and rock climbing to backpacking, hunting, skiing, and backcountry exploration. He finds joy in sailing, 4x4 off-roading, SCUBA diving, spelunking, and fervently supporting the Broncos football team. A family man at heart, Scott's spirit is driven by high-adventure pursuits, the sport of golf, and the hobby of model ship building.

Scott's admiration extends to historical figures such as Earnest Shackleton and the revered Founding Fathers of the United States. His profound respect for the nation's founding principles and foundational documents further solidifies his identity as an integral member of "We the People."
